Gayle Smith is the visionary founder and owner of Prescription Travel, Prescription Travel Group, and Red & Black Travel. Gayle's commitment exceeds transactional travel planning; it's about cultivating a team that strives to create meaningful and personalized client experiences. Travel, for Gayle, is so much more than jumping on a plane to say you have been somewhere. Travel educates. Travel inspires. Travel creates memories to last a lifetime. As the driving force behind Prescription Travel and Prescription Travel Group, Gayle has extended her passion for travel beyond exploration to the mentorship and coaching of young travel advisors. While not in the office, Gayle enjoys spending time with her husband, Jason and her three dachshunds: Dagny, Maggie and Milton.

Meghan is a firm believer in the transformative power of travel! With a deep passion for adventure and appreciation for diverse cultures, she will ignite your wanderlust. In addition to her degree in tourism management, she possesses expertise gained from immersive experiences such as studying abroad in Italy, embarking on a solo expedition to Portugal, and leading group adventure trips in British Columbia, Canada to name a few. Maddie McCauley

Hi! My name is Maddie McCauley. I am a Kentucky native, but I am currently based in Reno, NV. In 2023, I graduated from the University of Georgia with two Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Criminal Justice as well as a minor in Sociology. I simultaneously attended Athens Technical College in 2022 where I received my diplomas in Prehospital Medicine and Advanced Emergency Medical Technician. In 2025, I completed my training in Travel Advising under Gayle Smith at Prescription Travel. I currently work full time as an Advanced EMT and a part time Travel Advisor!
Travel has been a large influence into creating the person I am today. I began to travel at a young age with my family which taught me the value of new experiences and exposed me to the many wonders the world has to offer. As an adult, I still have an avid love for travel! My love for travel spans from luxury, to adventure, to every type of travel in-between. I feel that travel creates memories and teaches lessons that can be treasured for a lifetime. Each trip offers you a level of independence as well as new perspective into other cultures and traditions you may not have the opportunity to experience in your day-to-day life. This is what I hope to provide my clients with every trip I plan!
